June 2014 Scholarship Recipients Announced

We are proud to announce eleven CABE graduates as recipients of the Wesbild LIFT scholarship, which were awarded at CABE’s commencement ceremony on June 23.

Congratulations to the following:

  • Celeste St. Charles to attend Douglas College to study Hospitality Management
  • Daniela Madrazo to attend Coquitlam Continuing Education to become a Medical Office Assistant
  • Juan Hernadez to attend Coquitlam Continuing Education to become a Building Services Worker
  • Paige Morris to attend Coquitlam Continuing Education to study Beauty Make-up Fundamentals
  • Cammeo Linardis to attend Douglas College to study Hospitality Management
  • Dianca James to attend Coquitlam Continuing Education to become a Medical Office Assistant
  • Julie Anderson to attend Vancouver Community College to study Hospitality Management
  • Mariah Porter to attend Douglas College to study Early Childhood Education
  • Scatha Fadden-Packer to attend Vancouver Community College to study Licensed Practical Nursing

DSC_9078The Wesbild LIFT Scholarship has committed significant funds over the next year and onward to support CABE graduates get post secondary training and education. The scholarship is open to current CABE graduates. Grads from up to 18 months ago can also apply, along with graduates from other schools in School District 43 but who have spent 75% or more of their time at CABE.

December 2013 Recipients & Renewals

At CABE’s Christmas luncheon in December,  the Wesbild LIFT Scholarship was awarded to two new recipients, and renewed for three previous recipients:

  • Maurice Dharan to attend Douglas College to study General Studies

and to past recipients who have had their scholarships renewed:

  • Sofia Hernandez, currently attending Douglas College studying Criminology
  • Alex Johnstone, currently attending Douglas College studying Earth and Environmental Sciences
  • Alaska Petrie, currently attending Douglas College studying General Studies

  • Chad Hungerson to attend the British Columbia Institute of Technology in the New Media Management program

December 2012 Scholarship Recipients Announced

The Wesbild LIFT Scholarship would like to congratulate five CABE students who have been awarded the first scholarships from the fund.

The recipients are:

  • Garrett Broad to attend UA Piping Industry College of BC for his Level B Welding Certificate
  • Dylan Fairleigh to attend InfoFit Educators to gain his BCRPA Certification
  • Jacob Finamore to attend Douglas College to gain his BCRPA Certification
  • Jessica MacDonald to attend Douglas College with funding to help with tuition towards the Hospitality Management Diploma
  • Stuart McBeth to attend the British Columbia Institute of Technology with funding to help with tuition towards the Broadcast & Media Communications Diploma
